The Founding Fathers understood that a nation's strength lies in its people's commitment to higher ideals. The security and prosperity of the United States depends not on military might or economic power alone, but on each citizen's willingness to be a force for good, to shape their corner of the world through humble, compassionate leadership.

This is the quiet, unassuming leadership of example and influence to which we are all called. In our families, workplaces, communities and country, we each have a part to play in fulfilling this covenant - not a promise of perfection, but a commitment to embody empathy, kindness, humility, grace, and fairness.
